Question: Why is there a $2.99 convenience fee for my customers to use Carpay?
Answer: Our purpose at Carpay is to make managing the auto loan easier for the dealer and the borrower. In order to do that, we've built in many features into the Carpay platform (texting, email, payments, phone systems, etc.); all of which cost money to bring to our users. Since we don't charge our dealers a monthly fee for unlimited use of our system, we cover our expenses by charging your borrowers a convenience fee; in exchange for a more convenient way to manage their auto loan!
However, you as the dealer can let your Carpay account manager know if you would like to absorb some or all of the convenience fee for your customers. In that case, you would be charged the $2.99 per payment, and not your customer.
