What are reminder preferences?
Carpay can send you reminders and notifications by:
Email
Text message
You can choose which alerts you receive and how you receive them.
How to update your reminder settings
Reminder preferences are managed from Account Settings in the Carpay web portal or mobile app.
Step 1: Log in to your Carpay account
Log in to the Carpay customer portal using a web browser or the Carpay mobile app.
Step 2: Open account settings
At the top of the screen, click Account Settings.
Step 3: Choose your email and text reminder preferences
On the Account Settings page, you’ll see two sections:
Notify me by email when
Notify me by text message when
You can check or uncheck reminders for:
An automated payment is about to occur
A non-automated payment is due
A payment is overdue
A payment is successful
A payment failed
Choose only the notifications you want to receive.
Step 4: Save your changes
After selecting your preferences, click Update at the bottom of the page to save your settings.
Your changes will apply to future reminders.
Things to know
You can choose email only, text only, or both
You can change your reminder preferences at any time
Reminder settings affect future messages — they won’t change messages that already sent
Tips if you’re not receiving reminders
Make sure your email address and phone number are correct in Account Settings
Check your spam or junk email folder
Make sure text messages from Carpay aren’t blocked on your phone
If you opted out of text messages previously, you may need to re-enable them
If reminders still aren’t working, contact your dealership or lender for help.
